The person named above is the data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We apply this policy to every visitor, wherever you live.
Our hosting provider, Netlify, receives technical data such as your IP address, browser and the pages you open. It needs them to deliver the site and keep it secure. Some images are loaded from image hosting services, which receive your IP address in the same way.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages people use. This tells us which activities are useful and whether a NowKiddy app is worth building. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_<ID>, which last 2 years) to tell one visit from another.
We also count when someone joins the waitlist. The count doesn't include your email.
If you reject analytics cookies, none of this runs: Google Tag Manager isn't loaded at all.
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). The first time you visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject. We remember your choice for 12 months, in a cookie. You can change it at any time with Cookie preferences in the footer. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of any use of your data for advertising. We don't use it for advertising today.
The contact form sends your name, email and message to our inbox through Web3Forms. Our inbox is hosted by Google. We use your details only to reply.
Legal basis: answering your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)). We delete messages once the conversation is over, and in any case within 24 months.
We ask for your email to tell you if the NowKiddy app launches. We won't use it for anything else, and we won't add you to a newsletter unless you ask for one.
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us. We keep your email until you withdraw, or until we decide not to build the app.
Some links on the Games pages are affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer, such as Amazon, may set its own cookies to know the purchase came from us. Its privacy policy applies from that point. We receive totals of sales and commissions, never who you are or what else you bought.
We don't ask for any data about your child. If you write to us, share only what we need to answer you.

NowKiddy is written for parents and caregivers. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we'll delete it.
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page. If a change affects how we use the email you gave us, we'll tell you by email first.
